Similar finish to Aluminum Oxide, yet lower in cost. New, sharp angular-granule shape and hardness make Fast Cut MAX last longer, cut faster, and reduce the dust level inside the cabinet. Lower dust means better visibility. Recommended for paint, rust, and scale removal leaving a flat/coarse-textured finish which is ideal for primer adhesion. A great, all-around abrasive for automotive parts blasting. Grit size 50, reddish brown color.

- Dimensional weight is calculated by the actual size of the shipping box your order is packed in. A box weighing 10 lbs could have a dimensional weight of 30 lbs depending on the item and box size. If your order has a dimensional box(es), you will be notified prior to shipping and extra shipping costs will incur. Dimensional shipping charges are imposed by the shipping carrier.
How much abrasive should I use in my cabinet?
Most Skat Blast Cabinets include 50 lbs of Skat Magic Abrasive so you can start using it right away. Although the cabinet hopper is large enough to hold more abrasive, it works best with the amount included (hopper will be about 1/3 full).
TECH TIP:
When using a Skat Blast Cabinet, a variety of dry abrasives can be used. Generally, the higher the grit number, the finer the abrasive. The finer the abrasive, the smoother the finish. Coarse-grit abrasives cut fast, but the finish isn't as smooth as fine-grit abrasives. We suggest experimenting with each to determine which works best for individual applications. No warranty is made as to satisfactory performance for any particular purpose.
NOTE - Abrasives are sold on a nonreturnable basis.
Most popular abrasives are
Glass Beads, First Choice, and Speed Bead for a very fine finish on parts; Skat Magic™ and Skat Magic Extreme for a medium finish and faster production. In addition, Fast Cut Max provides fast cutting with less dust. Aluminum Oxide is another popular abrasive for fast cut and long life.
Most of
our abrasives are "virgin" material, which means they have not been processed or reused.
